CaRMetal download area
CaRMetal is an open source freeware distributed under GNU general public licence (GPL). It's based on C.a.R. sources and can be used on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux. For the moment, CaRMetal is available in many languages.

Installation is made like most of the macintoshes softwares : after download, open the virtual disk carmetal.dmg and drop the only icon it contains in Application folder.
After downloading carmetal_all.deb package, you just have to launch the install. This debian package was build by Yves Combe, you will find here other files that was needed for making this package.
After downloading carmetal.tar.gz archive, decompress it and double-clic on the setup program it contains. After that, you just have to follow setup instructions.

After downloading carmetal.zip archive, decompress it and copy the "CaRMetal" folder on your hard disk. To start CaRMetal, you have to launch the java "CaRMetal.jar" archive.
Schools network clients are often windows clients, and the standalone windows installer above can also be used on these computers. You just have, during the installation, to change the location of the CaRMetal folder (eg J:\maths\CaRMetal instead of C:\Program Files\CaRMetal).
But, you have to make sure, in this case, Java is installed on all clients. If you prefer, you can use insead this CaRMetal Network Setup which comes with an embeded java virtual machine. In this case, no matter if the client have java installed or not : the program will start.
